Nine pear cut aquamarines to each earring, tiered one, two, three, two, one into a kite shaped chandelier that hangs from a lever back. The lower rows are strung on small silver links, so each tier swings a beat behind the one above it and the whole panel is never quite still.
The stones are set point up in fine claws and cut alike in the same pale, watery blue, which keeps the metal thin between them and lets the drop read as color rather than framework. At 44 by 14 millimeters it is long, but 3.94 carats spread across eighteen small stones stays light on the ear.
