A large oval aquamarine of 8.22 carats, checkerboard cut so the crown is a grid of small facets, set across the finger and framed by a close halo of round chrome diopsides. The color pairing is the reason to own this: pale sea blue green ringed by saturated forest green, two greens far enough apart that neither cancels the other. Four warm toned chevrons grip the stone at the compass points and break the halo into quarters. Total weight is 9.08 carats.
