The marquise aquamarine lies lengthwise across the finger, and the halo of round diamonds set tight around it follows that outline exactly, drawing to a point at each tip. The effect is to stretch the stone further still, so the top of the ring reads longer and narrower than its measurements alone would suggest.
Below the halo the shank divides into two slender ribbons that cross over each other before joining the plain 14K white gold band at the back, with diamonds running down both. Light travels along the sides of the finger rather than gathering only at the top. Ring size 7 US.
