One round black diamond of 0.24 carats, bezel set so its table finishes level with the flat top of the band. Nothing projects. The band itself is asymmetric, polished and plain on one side of the stone and cut into close fluting on the other, which is unusual on a piece this restrained and is the reason it does not read as a plain gold plated band with a dot on it.
