The head is built as a domed rosette: one cushion cut turquoise cabochon at the center, four more turquoise set at the compass points around it, and thirty-two blue topaz packed into the field between them in alternating pears and small rounds. The topaz radiate outward like petals, and a beaded milgrain edge follows the scalloped outline of the whole cluster in rhodium plated sterling silver.
Two blues work against one another here, the turquoise opaque and matte, giving back one even sheet of light, the topaz faceted and bright. The head spans most of the width of the finger and sits high off it, a cocktail ring in the full sense at size 6.
