Two broad pavé bands cross over the top of this ring and taper away toward the shank, and the crossing is where the design does its work. Each band carries alternating rows of white and black diamonds, so the pattern reads as ribbons of light and dark folding past one another rather than as a flat field of set stones.
The specification totals 0.82 carats of white diamond, 0.38 of black and 0.32 of blue, spread across many small stones rather than concentrated at any one point. Sterling silver frames every row and keeps the boundaries crisp. It wears wide across the finger, and at size 8 US it reads as a statement band.
