Openwork does much of the work here. Figure eight links in white gold separate the sapphires, and each link takes a small round diamond on either side of its waist, so the bracelet alternates between solid blue and a lighter, more transparent passage of metal and white stone.
The sapphires are ovals dark enough to read as ink until the light reaches them, at which point they open into a strong blue. With 3.50 carats across seven inches the build stays slim, close against the wrist and easy under a cuff. It fastens with a box clasp and a hinged safety catch.
