All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Each top is a pear shaped plaque of small white diamonds set inside a warm gold rim, and from it a jump ring hangs a pear cut blue sapphire gripped by three gold claws. Nothing is set around the sapphire itself; all twenty-four diamonds live in the two plaques above, which leaves the stone reading as a solid drop of color.
Warm metal at the top against near black blue below makes for a loud contrast, and the ring joint lets each stone swing free of its plaque instead of moving as one rigid piece. Seventeen by seven millimeters overall, 2.67 carats of sapphire across the pair.
