An oval blue sapphire fills most of each stud, held on four broad white gold prongs, with twenty round diamonds ringed tightly around it. Forty across the pair, they read less as separate stones than as a bright collar that pushes the blue forward at the lobe.
At ten by eight millimeters these sit flat with no drop at all. White gold carries no warmth into the blue, so the sapphire stays cool and even from the table out to the edge of the halo.
