Each earring is a full oval halo. A blue sapphire holds the middle, dark and even across its face, and a single row of round diamonds rings it in individual claws so the frame reads as separate points of light rather than a continuous band of metal. The two sapphires come to 3.06 carats, the forty diamonds to 0.24 carats.
At 12 x 10 mm the pair covers the lobe and stops there, sitting flat against the ear with no drop below it. White gold keeps the whole palette cool, which lets the blue go as deep as it wants to against the bright outer ring.
