Round sapphires, and round is the whole point of the composition: a circular stone inside a circular frame, ten millimeters square overall, so the earring reads as one clean disc from any angle. The blue is deep and even, close to navy where the crown facets fall into shadow.
The halo is set as a starburst, with the diamonds raised on individual claws and stepping alternately larger and smaller around the circle, which breaks the outer edge into points instead of a smooth rim. Sixteen diamonds to a side, thirty-two across the pair, all in white gold.
