Round blue sapphires are set in a close line along the upper front of each hoop, running from the top of the curve down to roughly the halfway mark and leaving the rest of the band as plain polished metal. The blue is deep, close to navy, and it keeps that density under direct light rather than opening out, so the set section reads as a dark arc rather than a row of separate sparks.
Sterling silver frames all of it in something cool and quiet, which lets the color hold the attention. The hoops measure 24 millimeters top to bottom and just 4 millimeters wide, sitting tight to the lobe with the stones turned forward where they can be seen head on.
