An open oval frame in white metal carries the word MOM across its base in yellow script, the middle letter drawn as an open heart. A small tag hangs inside the top of the oval, set with a heart of five little round blue sapphires, and three more sapphires climb each lower side of the frame to the point where the white metal meets the gold lettering.
Eleven stones come to 0.16 carats between them, so the sapphires act as dark blue punctuation along the outline rather than as the subject of the piece. The oval hangs from a fine cable chain.
