The center stone is a marquise rather than a round: an elongated navette of blue sapphire held by claws at both points, its color so deep it goes almost black across the shoulders and opens to blue only where the facets angle up. Twenty-four round diamonds follow that outline in a close halo, narrowing to a point at each end so the pendant reads as one long leaf shape.
A plain tapered bail in white gold carries it on a fine cable chain of sixteen inches, which sets the pendant just below the hollow of the throat. Twenty-two millimeters top to bottom and ten across, five deep, so it stands off the skin rather than lying flat.
