The sapphire is a marquise of 1.28 carats set at the top of the drop, and everything below it is open air: two nested navette outlines of pave diamonds hang beneath the stone, echoing its shape at increasing size without enclosing it. Only nine millimeters wide across 23 of length, this is the narrowest shape in the family and the most linear. The diamond weight is 0.10 carats, spent entirely on outline rather than on filling.
