A marquise cut blue sapphire of 2.08 carats is caught inside a flame shaped outline made from two ribbons of pave diamonds that cross above the stone and sweep down around it. The ribbons never close, so the sapphire is framed on three sides and left open on the fourth, which is why the piece reads as movement rather than as a halo. The diamonds total 0.12 carats. At 29 by 14 millimeters in white gold it hangs as a long vertical, and the metal keeps the whole thing cool so nothing warms the blue.
