All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The diamonds are not around the stone. They sit above it, pavé set in two close rows down a tapered white gold bar, and the oval blue sapphire hangs at the foot of that bar as a solid block of color. It is a vertical composition, bright at the top and deep blue at the base.
At 18 by 7 millimeters the pendant is narrow, and worn at the throat it reads as a short bright stroke rather than a medallion. The 2.52 carat sapphire carries almost all the visible mass while the 0.18 carats of diamonds do the lifting. Photographed on a slim white metal cable chain.
