An oval sapphire sits inside a tight collar of round diamonds, and the collar is worked in white metal while the bail and chain stay yellow, so two metal tones meet in a drop that measures only 20 by 11 millimeters. A short diamond set link bridges halo to chain and holds the pendant square to the body instead of letting it turn.
Worn, it lands in the notch above the collarbone and reads as one small saturated oval of blue ringed in white against the warmth of the gold. 2.92 carats of sapphire with 0.32 carried through the diamonds.
