Three carats of oval sapphire, deep navy and cut to hold that color through the crown, set in a diamond halo with a milgrained edge and a scalloped gallery underneath that shows whenever the pendant turns. The bail is its own small marquise of diamonds, set point up so it echoes the oval below.
The finish work is the vintage kind, beaded edges and a worked gallery rather than a plain rub over setting, and it is what you notice at close range. Fourteen karat white gold, 25 by 13 millimeters on a fine cable chain.
