An open circle carries the whole design. Five pear cut blue sapphires are arranged as a flower around a small polished bead, two butterflies in yellow metal sit at the upper edge, one an open outline and one solid, and seven round white topaz are bezel set at intervals around the ring. The topaz catch light exactly where the sapphires stay dark.
Those sapphires are a deep navy that holds its color rather than flashing, and the yellow butterflies are the only warm note in an otherwise white frame. The circle is hung from two points on the cable chain, so it stays face forward at the neck instead of turning edge on.
