This one is a web rather than a solitaire. An openwork panel of fine radiating spokes and curved cross threads arches over the top of the band, left fully open so skin shows through the pattern, and the 0.28 carats of blue sapphire is divided among a row of small round stones set along the lower edge instead of gathered into a single center. More than a dozen are visible across the front of the shank, running in one continuous line.
The plating reads warm and distinctly pink over the sterling silver, which keeps the dark blue row legible as its own band of color beneath the openwork. The ring sits low and reads wide, closer to a decorated band than to a stone ring, and at size 7 the webbed section covers most of the width of the finger.
