An oval blue sapphire sits in four yellow gold prongs at the center of this cluster ring, encircled by sixteen round diamonds held in bright white claws. The halo is scalloped rather than flush, so each accent stands slightly proud of the next and the outline reads as a starburst instead of a smooth ring.
The shank is plain and tapered, widening a little toward the gallery so the head sits close to the finger. Warm yellow metal against cool blue is the whole idea, and the white halo keeps a clean break between the two.
