Three round blue sapphires sit shoulder to shoulder across the top, the middle stone noticeably larger than the two that flank it, all three held in slim claws that leave the girdles open to the light. It is a three stone layout worked at small scale, the whole head no wider than the finger it sits on.
Diamond pave runs down both shoulders in a single line to either side of the trio, set into channels of 14K white gold that carry the eye out from the center. The white metal keeps the blue cool and unmixed, and the low profile means the ring sits flush enough to wear alongside a band.
