A round blue sapphire is caught inside a swirled cushion shaped frame, the frame itself pave set with small diamonds and left open at the corners so the gold reads as a ribbon rather than a solid halo. The same line of diamonds carries on down each shoulder before the band goes plain.
Yellow gold beside a deep blue warms it rather than sharpening it, and the effect here is soft: a dark stone with bright metal wrapped around it. The head is small, the profile low, the band slim. Size 9.
