A pear cut sapphire sits low and turned across the finger, held by three claws with the point directed toward one shoulder. The band is very slim and flat topped, and small diamonds are let into that flat surface on both sides, sitting flush with the metal so the shoulders stay smooth rather than raised.
At 0.78 carats the sapphire is dark and reads almost navy against 14K white gold, while the 0.04 carats of side stones amount to a fine dotted line approaching it from each direction. The proportions are restrained throughout, and at size 7 the whole ring keeps to a low, even profile.
