A pear cut sapphire, not the oval the weight alone might suggest, is set across the finger here with its point running toward one shoulder. Three claws hold it, one at the tip and two at the stone's shoulders. Small diamonds are bead set into a flat channel along the top surface of each side of the band, four or so to a side, carrying about a third of the way around.
At 0.78 carats the sapphire is modest and the ring is scaled to match, a fine white gold band with a low head that sits close. The 0.05 carat diamond total tells you how small those side stones are; their job is to define the line of the shoulders, not to compete with the center.
