Five round blue sapphires run in a straight line across the top of this ring, graduated so the largest holds the middle and the pairs to either side step down in size toward the shoulders. Each is held in its own small claw setting, and tiny white accents sit in the gaps between them, filling the joints where the settings meet.
The band itself is slim, a plain wire of 14K yellow gold that all but disappears under the finger and leaves the row of blue floating across the top. On the hand the piece reads horizontally, low and quiet, the kind of half band that stacks flat against another ring.
