All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The sapphire is a pear, set point up in a slender white gold head with a prong at the tip and a claw at each shoulder of the stone. Its color is a saturated blue that goes nearly black in the pavilion, and the outline of the pear stays crisp because the mount barely intrudes on it.
Below the stone the shank splits and crosses, two pave lines of small round diamonds twisting over one another before rejoining at the back, which leaves an open loop of white gold on either side of the pear. That twist is the design element here rather than any frame around the stone, and it keeps a size seven band interesting from the side as well as the top.
