A pear cut sapphire is set point down where two bands cross in an infinity twist. One band is plain yellow gold, the other is pavé set with small diamonds in white metal, and they loop past each other on both sides of the stone to leave two open eyes of space in the shoulders.
The pear is held by a prong at the tip and a pair at its shoulders, sitting just above the twist. The alternating warm and white metal keeps the movement in the shank legible from across a room.
