The shank is what makes this ring. Two yellow gold arms cross beneath the setting and sweep away to either side, each one lined with small round diamonds, so the pear cut sapphire looks caught between them rather than mounted on top of a band.
The sapphire is 1.08 carats, set point toward the fingertip and held in three claws that stay out of the way of the outline. Six points of diamond across the two sides. Slim throughout in 14K yellow gold, ring size 7 US with custom sizing available.
