The sapphire is bezel set at the middle of an elongated oval plaque, and the plaque is divided by raised ribs into curved panels, each one filled with small white stones. The shape runs up and down the finger, longer than it is wide, with a scalloped edge that answers the curve of the bezel.
Gold tone around a deep blue oval gives the piece a warm frame rather than a cold one, and the pave panels read as bright openwork between the ribs. The band is slim and plain where it meets the plaque. Size 9.
