A pear cut sapphire points up the finger, held at three claws inside a close halo of round diamonds that follows the teardrop outline exactly. At each shoulder the setting opens into a pair of small marquise shaped leaves, also diamond set, which widen the head without adding any height to it.
The stone is dark at the shoulders of the pear and brighter down the middle where light returns through the point. White gold keeps that reading clean rather than warming it. Size 7.
