The sapphire is held on four claws with a triangular cluster of small round diamonds tucked against each side, graduating from the largest next to the center stone down to the smallest at the outer point. From there the band runs plain and narrow to the back.
That arrangement widens the head to nearly twice the width of the sapphire on its own while keeping the profile low, so the ring covers ground without standing tall. Cool white gold, deep blue stone, size 7.
