An oval blue sapphire is claw set east to west inside a tight halo of round diamonds, the halo sitting close enough that it traces the oval outline rather than rounding it out. Pave continues along both shoulders in a single row and fades out before the base of the band.
White gold throughout keeps the reading cool, and the contrast between the pale halo and the dark blue center is what does the work at arm's length. The head is compact for the weight involved, and at size seven it stays within the width of the finger.
