Diamonds run the whole way around this one. A pavé halo circles the oval sapphire, and the line continues down both sides of the shank in a single row that carries most of the way around the finger, which is what the 0.28 carat diamond total is buying.
The sapphire is set in yellow gold prongs while the halo and the shank pavé sit in white metal, so a thin bright band frames the blue and then extends outward. Seen at arm's length the ring reads as a continuous line of light with a dark blue oval at its middle.
