The oval sapphire is set on a diagonal in a bypass mount, held by a single claw at the top and another at the bottom while the two arms of the shank sweep past it in opposite directions. That tilt is the whole idea of the ring, and it makes the stone read longer across the finger than its two carats would suggest.
A trio of round diamonds is bead set into each side of the opening, three at the upper left and three at the lower right, filling the crescents the crossover leaves behind. The white gold is polished smooth with no pave along the band itself, so all the brightness stays concentrated at the head at size seven.
