The shank crosses itself beneath the head. Two diamond set strands twist past each other on either side of the oval sapphire and open into small loops before rejoining as a plain band, an infinity motif built into the shoulders rather than applied on top of them.
That movement is the point of the ring. The 1.94 carat sapphire is set low and close to the finger in four prongs, no halo, so the eye follows the twisting pavé in toward it and out again. The 0.22 carats of diamonds are spread across the crossover, which leaves the shoulders busier than the head.
