An oval sapphire of 2.08 carats fills the head of this ring inside one close halo of round diamonds. The halo is narrow, hardly more than a bright outline, which keeps the balance of stone to setting weighted firmly toward the blue.
Below the head the shank is plain, a slim straight polished band of 18K white gold carrying no stones at the shoulders. On a size 7 hand the result is upright and uncluttered: one oval standing clear above an unbroken band, with the diamonds doing nothing more than drawing its edge.
