An oval sapphire sits inside a narrow diamond halo, and from there the shank opens out instead of running straight: each shoulder curls into a pierced loop outlined in pave, with one round diamond held in the middle of the opening. The empty space inside those loops is as much of the design as the metal is.
Because the halo is fine and the shoulders are open, the ring stays visually light on the hand even though it spreads well past the width of the stone. White gold throughout means no warm reflection reaches the blue from any angle. Size 7.
