The halo is doubled. Two concentric rows of small diamonds circle the oval sapphire, the inner row set tight against the stone and the outer stepped slightly down from it, which carries the visible head well past the edges of the two carat stone at its middle. Yellow gold claws hold the sapphire and a plain yellow shank runs away from the setting with no further decoration.
That is the whole idea: a wide field of white around dark blue, carried on a band that stays narrow, so the top of the ring looks larger than its weight would suggest. 2.08 carats of sapphire with 0.26 carats of diamond spread through the two rows. Sized 7 US.
