The sapphire is an oval of clean mid-blue, raised on four prongs high enough that light reaches it from the sides as well as the top. Diamonds run in a continuous pave line down both shoulders, more than a dozen a side, carrying well past the halfway point of the shank rather than stopping at the head. The band itself stays narrow, so that row of small stones reads as a bright thread leading into the center.
White gold keeps the blue cool and a shade brighter than a warm mount would leave it. The head stands up off the band instead of sinking into it, which lets the oval read full size from the side as well as from above. Ring size 7 US.
