The halo here is scalloped rather than plain: the line of small diamonds swells into soft lobes above and below the oval sapphire and pinches in at the sides, giving the head a flower shaped outline. The sapphire sits upright in four prongs at the middle of it, a bright medium blue with lighter passages that open up as the hand turns.
A plain white gold shank meets the head without any shoulder stones, leaving the scalloped frame to do the work on its own. It stands modestly off the finger and reads taller than it is wide, 2.28 carats of sapphire with 0.22 spread through the frame.
