The band here is worked into a scalloped line. Pointed oval bezels, three to a side, each hold a round diamond flush inside a rim of white gold, so the shoulders read as a chain of small linked shapes instead of a plain shank running up to the head.
Above them an oval sapphire stands upright in four prongs with no halo around it, which leaves the dark blue nothing to compete with. In 18K white gold at size 7 US the ring stays slim across the finger, and the shoulder detail only shows itself at close range.
