An oval blue sapphire is held in four fine claws and circled by a single row of round diamonds, the halo set tight enough that stone and frame read as one shape from a short distance. Beneath it the shank is left entirely plain, a slim polished band of 18K white gold with nothing at the shoulders.
That restraint is the point of the design. Nothing competes with the sapphire, whose blue stays deep and even right across the crown, and the cool metal keeps the surrounding diamonds bright rather than warm. On a size 7 finger the head sits low and compact, barely wider than the finger itself.
