An oval blue sapphire is claw set high at the middle of this band, its royal blue holding an even depth right across the face of the stone. The shoulders do the detail work: scalloped, navette shaped panels of white gold, each carrying a short line of small round diamonds that steps down in size as the shank tapers toward the back.
Polished 18K white gold keeps the whole palette cool, so nothing warms the blue away from it. At a size 7 the ring reads narrow on the finger, raised at the crown but slim through the band, closer to an engagement profile than a cocktail one.
