A cushion cut blue sapphire of 2.38 carats holds the center, gripped at four corners by yellow gold claws and set low enough that the stone reads as part of the band rather than perched above it. The cut is a soft square with rounded corners, and the facets under the table break the blue into lighter and deeper zones as the hand moves.
The shank is the second half of the story. Each shoulder carries two close rows of small pavé diamonds in white metal, bordered above and below by polished yellow gold rails that taper as they run back toward the finger. The white pavé panels against the warm gold give the ring a two-tone reading that the sapphire sits cleanly between. Diamond weight comes to 0.22 carats in total. At size 7 US the band is slim enough that the cushion carries the full width of the finger.
