The face of this ring is a clipped-corner rectangle paved edge to edge with upwards of fifty small round blue sapphires in a tight grid, each held by beaded gold claws that form little four-point stars in the gaps between stones. A single row of small round diamonds runs the whole way around the perimeter, set into darkened metal that separates the border cleanly from the blue field inside it.
Nothing here works as a center stone. The 2.08 carats of sapphire is distributed across the grid and the 0.52 carats of diamond outlines it, which is what gives the piece its scale: the plaque covers most of the width of the finger. The gold plated sterling silver shank flares as it rises to meet it. Size 7.
