A deep royal blue sapphire, oval and softened at the corners, is held by four yellow gold prongs at the center of two concentric rows of pave diamonds. The pave sits in white metal on a cushion shaped plate, so the outline of the head is squarer than the stone within it and the blue is pushed forward by the contrast.
There are 2.46 carats of sapphire and 0.24 carats of diamond, 2.7 carats altogether, on a wide flat 18K yellow gold shank that runs straight into the head with no taper at the shoulders. On the hand the head covers most of the finger's width. Ring size 7 US, with custom sizing available upon request.
