Diamonds run in two directions here: a close pave halo around the 2.60 carat oval sapphire, then on down both shoulders in a single graduated line that stops partway along the shank. The result is an unbroken bright edge from the finger up to the stone and around it.
The sapphire reads dark and even, and it stands tall enough in its yellow gold prongs to take light from the side as well as from above. Diamond weight comes to 0.22 carats. Ring size 7.
