An oval blue sapphire of 2.78 carats sits inside a close halo of round diamonds, and the diamonds carry on from the halo down both shoulders in a single pave line to about the midpoint of the shank. The shank itself is deliberately thin, which lets the halo remain the widest thing on the finger.
Everything is 18K white gold, so nothing warm interrupts the blue at any point. The halo does what a halo does at distance, adding a couple of millimeters of apparent size to the sapphire and giving the outline a bright edge before the color registers. At size 7 the head sits low and flat enough to clear an adjacent finger.
